What has happened so far
Wörwag, headquartered in Korntal-Münchingen, Germany, was founded in 1918 as a family business. We employ around 1,100 people worldwide and expect sales of about 220 million euros for the full year 2020. We specialize in the development of sustainable liquid coatings, powder coatings and film coatings. Since the beginning of 2021, Wörwag is part of PPG Industries, Inc. , a manufacturer of paints, coatings, optical products and specialty materials in the United States with headquarters in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
In addition to the three sites in Germany, Wörwag operates in the USA, China, South Africa, Mexico, Spain, Switzerland and Poland.
