The heart beats in Zuffenhausen

Sports cars are built in the immediate vicinity of Wörwag’s headquarters. But the paint and coatings manufacturing business was there earlier. As early as 1918, Karl Wörwag founded a company to develop and produce paints and rust-proofing paints. A lot has happened since then. The family business grew into an internationally successful company. However, its heart still beats in Zuffenhausen. The young company first acquired prestige in the 1930s with a major order:

Together with representatives of the raw materials industry, Wörwag developed a stretching varnish for the outer skin of the Zeppelin that not only withstood weather extremes, but was also gas-tight. The joy of inventing and the courage to break new ground remained. The company is still going to lofty heights today. Pressure accumulators for hydraulic systems in aircraft, for example, are coated with Wörwag coatings.
